Another Hotel Fire Door Question

Another Hotel Fire Door Question

New postby mtCDCcb on Wed May 22, 2013 1:35 pm

Have a hotel. 5 story. My question is what is the door rating requirement for the following door. On the bottom floor we have a door that leads from a hallway (where the hotel guest rooms are) into a service hallway which provides the hotel's laundry cleaning services. What is the minimum required fire rating for this door. Thanks.

Presuming that the corridor along which the guest rooms are is an exit access, in which case I will presume that the exit access is 2 hour rated, which means that door would be 90 minute rated.

I've made a lot of presumptions based on the information given.
