New Window placement

I am looking to place a new widow (inoperable, 1st level) on the side of my home. I hope to place it between my gas meter and a transformer. Are there any clearance requirement for the window from these 2 items?

As long as the window is inoperable, then it is a 'wall area' and not an 'opening'.
Building openings would have clearance requirements.

It appears that is actually a casement window and is operable... I misspoke... in this case what would the clearances from the gas meter and transformer be?

Generally speaking, there are clearances around gas meters and the vents at the regulators which are typically next to the gas meters.
As I recall, the clearance to an ignition source is 3 feet and the clearance to a building opening is 5 feet (a window is a building opening).
The best source for this information is your gas company as they will have their requirements, which may be more restrictive than the NFPA codes (which may or may not be adopted for your area).
