Go to the ICC web site, ICCSafe.org as I recall, and go to the certifications section.
The certifications section lists all reference books you will need.
Also take their practice tests as the practice tests will give you an idea of what type of questions they have and how the questions are worded.
If you learn your way around the code book well enough to pass the practice tests within the allotted time for the test, you should do well on the test.
