Mold in the wood truss, can mold damage the wood truss in the attic?

Hi Richard,

Oh that is a touching subject ... mold ...

Fungi can damage wood as fungi feeds on the cellulose in the wood.

To answer that question better, I would need to know what type (species) of fungi it was.

Generally speaking though, there are several types of fungi which are considered to be "wood destroying organisms" and are to be included on the Florida WDO (Wood Destroying Organism) report form.
