I'm installing a Toyotomi OM-180 water heater in Michigan. Being rated at 148,000 btu am I correct that the direct vent needs to be 4' from any opening window or door? I see a lot of questions about smaller btu appliances but nothing this size. Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim,

The clearance all depend specifically on what is stated in the installation instructions for your appliance.

If you do not have the installation instructions contact the manufacturer and have then send you the installation instructions. Many installation instructions are available by searching the internet.

Sorry that I could not give you the answer as you were asking, but it really does specifically depend on the installation instructions.
