The A/C condensate drain line is not trapped with a 2” positive trap pipe as required. A 2” positive p trap needs to be installed as required. The line is able t pull in unconditioned air without the trap and pest intrusion. §M307.2.5 Traps. Condensate drains shall be trapped as required by the equipment or appliance manufacturer. Builder HVAC contractor has stated:
Drain runs through 4" pvc pipe under the house and terminates above grade. This constitutes proper code trapping of condensate.
