Required receptacles

Required receptacles

New postby bigdog on Sat Feb 28, 2015 9:13 pm

Hey Jerry
I inspected a home the other day and the 1/2 bath had no receptacle. I looked around and saw no refinished are where it might have been removed from. 210.11(3) doesn't list any exceptions where a "bathroom" could be without one. Am I missing something. Could the AHJ allowed this?....or just missed it.

This was in Rivera Bch Palm Beach Co build date of 1997. No telling when the development was permitted and PBC adopted the 1993 code.
The oldest code book I've got is the 1996 version and its required in there. Close enough for reasonable doubt I guess......but thanks you (me) learn something new every day.
